Chylomicrons transport lipids absorbed from the intestine to adipose, cardiac, and skeletal muscle tissues, where their triglyceride components are hydrolyzed by means of the interest of the lipoprotein lipase, permitting the launched free fatty acids to be absorbed through the tissues. When a big part of the triglyceride center has been hydrolyzed, chylomicron remnants are fashioned and are taken up by the liver, thereby additionally moving dietary fats to the liver.
